A & B Services

Although our professional technicians take care of all the details during your routine maintenance visits, we’re glad to provide an overview of what the Mercedes A & B visits entail. The A checklist is needed at the 10,000 mile or one year mark. It includes the oil and filter change that reduce wear by keeping the oil supply adequate and clean. Also, we’ll check the coolant as well as the power steering, brake, and transmission fluids. Other points include monitoring tire inflation and checking the brake pads to ensure they haven’t worn too thin. Once we cover all the items on the list, we’ll reset the maintenance counter. Once you have driven your vehicle 20,000 miles or two years, it’s time for the B protocol. We’ll repeat all of the points from the A visit, exchanging the brake pads if they’re nearing the end of their usable life. Also, we’ll change the brake fluid to eliminate any contaminants. Before resetting the maintenance minder, we’ll change the cabin dust combination filter. Thereafter, the visits alternate. These visits are important for several reasons. Sticking to the schedule allows us to monitor for any developing conditions and to make timely repairs. This often heads off more significant problems. Also, the importance of keeping the oil clean cannot be underestimated. The engine operates more efficiently and with less wear. Finally, the record of completing the recommended visits is key to keeping the full term of the original warranty intact.
